Visual Artist

With over 14 years of experience as an illustrator and arts practitioner, I have honed a dynamic skill set that spans visual storytelling, public art installations, and workshop facilitation making me uniquely positioned to create impactful, accessible art that resonates with diverse audiences. My artwork spans personal portfolio creations, commercial briefs, brand identity and a dedicated line of illustrated products that I distribute via Etsy and regional arts markets.

Throughout my career, I have partnered with organisations such as Wild in Art, National Museums Liverpool, and The Royal Shakespeare Company on projects that elevate public spaces and inspire community engagement. From painting over 25 sculptures for public trails to illustrating a children’s book for Barefoot Books, each project has been an opportunity to bring narratives to life through art. Working on projects for Leftcoast, Cheshire West Council and  Fleetwood High Street Heritage Action Zone has given me experience in creating large-scale, visually captivating pieces that engage the public while reflecting local culture and stories.

My visual artwork usually combines traditional and digital techniques with a love for painting, traditional drawing, Procreate , printmaking and more recently textiles and sculpture. Animals, nature and imaginative characters often find their way into my work, creating a whimsical yet grounded aesthetic that connects with a wide range of people.

I’m a little obsessed with intricate detail, bold colour palettes, and playful pattern. I often joke that I see in texture and motifs- my work feels like a kaleidoscope of colour and detail, layered with curiosity and joy.

Socially Engaged Arts Practice

My creative practice is rooted in people, place, and the belief that art should be accessible to everyone. I design and deliver workshops that invite connection, expression and discovery—often exploring themes like wellbeing, nature, and identity. Whether I’m working with school groups, young people, or community members of all ages, my aim is to create welcoming spaces where creativity can support confidence, connection, and care.

I’m particularly interested in where art and environmental education meet. My background in Conservation and Environmental Education continues to shape the way I work, often encouraging participants to explore the natural world, reflect on human impact, and reimagine our relationship with the planet through hands-on making.

Collaboration and responsiveness are central to how I work—whether that’s developing creative evaluation tools, supporting inclusive consultation, or responding to the needs of a specific group or place. Every project is a chance to listen, learn, and co-create something meaningful.
